How blockchain and cryptocurrency can boost your business growth across industries — UN:BLOCK 2025 Conference in Riga

The largest crypto and blockchain conference in the Baltics, UN:BLOCK Europe 2025, will take place on April 22–23 in Riga, bringing together leading international industry experts, professionals, entrepreneurs and investors to share experiences and discuss the development, regulation and future of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.

The conference invites entrepreneurs and interested parties to learn how corporations and traditional businesses can utilize crypto-assets and blockchain solutions for business growth. It is organized by the UN:BLOCK Europe 2025 team in collaboration with the Latvian Blockchain Development Association, Gravity Team and Sorainen.

Gateway to the European Market: Latvia Invites Global Crypto Companies with a Single-License Model

Reinis Znotiņš, Executive Director of the Latvian Blockchain Development Association, emphasizes: “We are organizing one of the largest blockchain and crypto conferences in Northern Europe. The goal is to attract companies interested in obtaining a license in Latvia and establishing their European offices here. UN:BLOCK Europe 2025 offers visitors a chance to explore the latest blockchain innovations and Web3 applications, learn from global industry leaders and connect with over 1,000 participants, including top blockchain firms, experts and investors. This is a chance for businesses to understand how to leverage cryptocurrencies to their advantage.”

First Steps Toward the Digital Future: From Basics to MiCA and Innovation

The first day of the conference is tailored for enthusiasts and newcomers — covering the basics of cryptocurrency, its applications in everyday life and business, crypto security and regulation, NFTs and digital assets, payments and FinTech solutions. Hands-on workshops will be held — introducing the Web3 world, how to open a digital wallet and make transactions.

The second day is dedicated to professionals — focusing on blockchain development trends, MiCA regulatory requirements, licensing opportunities, supervision, compliance strategies and practical experiences for leveraging crypto and blockchain technology for effective business growth.

The conference will feature leaders from global cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance, BitMart, Gate.MT, KuCoin, and others.

The EU has established a unified legal framework for the crypto asset industry. Latvia actively encourages foreign companies to seize new opportunities by offering competitive licensing conditions. As of January 2, 2025, the Bank of Latvia accepts license applications from crypto asset service providers, allowing companies to operate across the entire EU with a single license.

Explore Crypto Opportunities — Latvia as an Example of Smart Regulation

“Crypto-assets are a regular feature in global financial headlines. The EU has created a regulatory base — MiCA — to safely offer these assets to European consumers. For Latvia’s financial sector, FinTech and crypto-assets are among the most promising areas for international growth, attracting new players, investments, and creating jobs and tax revenue. Latvia’s experience with a major financial sector overhaul allows us to offer high compliance standards in a smart way — ensuring security without stifling business. At UN:BLOCK Europe 2025, we will discuss these trends with the local ecosystem, international experts, policymakers, and global crypto industry leaders. Join the conversation and learn the latest about Latvia’s MiCA licensing offer and global trends in crypto-assets, Web3 and blockchain tech. Equip yourself with valuable knowledge on one of the hottest financial topics today, ” Rūdolfs Eņģelis, partner at Sorainen.

International Experience and Local Action — Global and Latvian Leaders Meet in the UN:BLOCK Dialogue

Industry representatives include global leaders from Binance, KuCoin, xpate, Paybis, NexPay, GreenCoin, and Goldingen Tech. Government participation will include Latvian Minister of Economy Viktors Valainis and Marina Krasovska, Head of the FinTech Supervision Department at the Bank of Latvia. Legal perspectives will be shared by Rūdolfs Eņģelis (Sorainen) and Valters Diure (Wallness). Financial institutions such as Industra Bank and tech companies like Tet, Elektrum, Rīgas Siltums, and AirBaltic will also be present.

UN:BLOCK Europe 2025 conference will take place on April 22–23, 2025, at Hanzas Perons in Riga (16A Hanzas Street). Tickets are available at https://lu.ma/33bv4hzh until the day of the event. More information https://www.unblockeurope.com/ .
