Copenhagen-based fintech Monthio has been recognized as one of the leading providers of Banking Tech and Reg Tech in Europe, according to the European Fintech Awards.
Widely regarded as one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, the European Fintech Awards celebrate the achievements and successes of Europe’s best and brightest.
Monthio supports the Nordics’ leading banks and credit providers on their digital lending journey with the most accurate creditworthiness data, instantly.
The fintech combines open banking with other data sources to increase the speed and accuracy of underwriting decisions, as well as helping financial institutions meet regulatory requirements.
The annual awards saw hundreds of submissions from all over Europe, and an independent international expert panel whittled down the companies to shortlists based on in-depth reviews and scoring. Monthio is also the only Danish Fintech to reach the shortlist in the two categories.
Monthio CEO and Founder, Mads Aarup Pederson said:
“Monthio is more than just a tech company, we are built on deep banking expertise which means we hold critical insight into the credit application process. By combining both we have an offering that goes further than other creditworthiness solutions.
“The recognition from the European FinTech Awards, where we are shortlisted in both the categories of RegTech and Banking Tech, is a testament to the great work of the Monthio team.
“We are being judged on more than just our solution but also its potential, its innovativeness, the market fit, and our USPs. So, I’m delighted to see Monthio’s name on not just one, but two shortlists at these awards.”
There will be a further intensive judging process, with the winners announced at an Award Ceremony in London on 22 June 2023.
