The first season of the Visa Innovation Program Europe – Nordics & Baltics edition, launched in collaboration with Visa and Tenity, today opens for applications. Visa, the global payments technology company, today announced the launch of the Visa Innovation Program Europe – Nordics & Baltics edition, in collaboration with Tenity.  Having run successfully in eight countries since 2018, the Visa Innovation Program Europe is a pilot-centered collaboration platform designed to accelerate fintech growth. It enables startups to connect with Visa’s extensive network of partners and clients, while providing access to Visa’s technology, resources, and expertise.

“We’re proud to launch the Visa Innovation Program Europe in our Nordics & Baltics markets,” said Philip Konopik, Group Country Manager, Nordics & Baltics at Visa. “This region is home to entrepreneurial companies and a digitally advanced fintech landscape. By bringing our proven innovation platform here, we’re helping unlock new opportunities for startups to scale, collaborate, and shape the future of payments, locally and globally.”

The regional edition is designed to accelerate the fintech sector in the Nordics & Baltics by fostering collaboration between startups and Visa’s global ecosystem, helping bring innovative solutions to market faster and more efficiently.

The launch of the Nordics & Baltics edition will offer fintechs access to:

  • Visa’s APIs via the Visa Developer Platform
  • Global investment networks through Tenity and potential new market exploration
  • Mentorship from industry experts
  • Engagement with regional banks and financial institutions

For Visa’s 160+ existing Visa Innovation Program partners, the program provides a curated pipeline of innovative fintechs, offering a direct path to new digital solutions by reducing the time and cost associated with in-house development.

“The launch of this program comes at a pivotal time for the region’s fast-growing fintech sector, driven by a vibrant startup scene and emerging technologies. This milestone brings Visa’s proven platform to one of Europe’s most dynamic hubs, fostering collaboration to accelerate innovation, unlock growth, and strengthen the region’s global leadership in digital finance, and we’re excited to bring this to the Nordics and Baltics region with Visa,” said Kaan Akın, Managing Partner and Chief Commercial Officer at Tenity.

The program is open to fintechs based in the Nordics & Baltics with a strong market presence. Applications open on October 6th, and selected participants will be announced in December.
