Transfers that matter: UNITED24, TransferGo and Visa team up to help Ukrainian children learn in safer environments

Ukraine’s official fundraising platform, UNITED24, the global fintech company empowering the world on the move TransferGo, and the world leader in digital payments Visa launched the Every Transfer Matters campaign, designed to help ensure safer learning environments for Ukrainian children.

Until January 7, 2026, everyone in Europe sending money to Visa cards in Ukraine via TransferGo, will also contribute to UNITED24’s projects that aim to provide everything necessary for a safer, uninterrupted educational process in Ukraine — from procuring power generators and buses for schools to equipping them with bomb shelters. For every such transaction, TransferGo will donate 0.5% of the transfer amount towards UNITED24’s Education and Science program. Those customers making the most transactions will receive a series of exclusive rewards from TransferGo.

“Every financial transfer sent by our customers carries a profound story of support. We are collectively empowering the next generation by providing them with the crucially needed infrastructure and resources the future leaders and innovators  to lead their homeland recovery and prosperity. We proudly stand by our friends in Ukraine, and we will continue, as long as it takes.”   Daumantas Dvilinskas, CEO and Co-founder of TransferGo.

According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as of October 2025, 226 Ukrainian schools have been completely destroyed, and 1,820 more have been damaged. Over 330 schools are in critical need of bomb shelters. Each month, these numbers grow further, as russia continues attacking Ukraine’s educational facilities.

“For more than three and a half years, russia has carried out daily terrorist attacks, targeting civilian infrastructure, including educational facilities. Its goal is to take away our children’s right to education and to deny Ukraine a future. We cannot allow this. That’s why we continue building underground schools, restoring damaged educational institutions, and strengthening our entire education system. Every investment in education and science is an investment in people — in Ukraine’s human capital, its future economic and technological development, and in a stronger, safer, and brighter future for all. We appreciate everyone’s support in making this possible.” — Yevhen Kudriavets, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Together with UNITED24, TransferGo, Visa and their customers will contribute to solving this problem without any extra cost. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, Ukrainians received over $6 billion in money transfers from abroad in the first half of 2025 alone — a lifeline that supports millions of families every day. As part of this flow, more than 1.1 million Ukrainians have used TransferGo to send money home quickly and safely.

By adding 0.5% to new transfers, TransferGo and their customers will now help Ukrainian schools meet more of their urgent needs.

“At Visa, we believe that every child deserves access to safe and uninterrupted education, especially in times of uncertainty. Along with UNITED24 and TransferGo, we’re happy to help Ukrainian families and communities create better educational conditions for children all over Ukraine. Every transfer is more than just a payment  it’s a step towards a safe, successful future for Ukraine’s next generations. We keep supporting innovative projects that make our society stronger and more empowered.” — Tetiana Chorna, Vice-President, Country Manager for Visa in Ukraine.

Every child deserves to receive an education in a safe and comfortable environment. To join the campaign, you can make a transfer to Visa cards in Ukraine via TransferGo or donate directly via UNITED24.
