Reykjavik, Iceland – Today, Indó officially launches as a new savings bank with a mission to do better for its customers. The bank was founded by Haukur Skúlason and Tryggvi Björn Davíðsson, who saw an opportunity to offer a different experience from traditional banks and make banking more people-centric.
“We are excited to announce that we have officially opened Indó for everybody in Iceland,” said Haukur Skúlason, CEO of Indó.
“We believe that banking can be done differently, in a more simple and transparent way. We created Indó to be different from banks and our users will have an impact on what we do and how we contribute to society.”
Indó is available for download on the App Store and Play Store, and offers users a simple and secure way to manage their money. With Indó, customers can choose between a traditional savings account or a charitable savings account, and track their progress in real-time.
“Do banks always need to be at odds with society? We believe that simplicity allows us to move fast and make the experience fun for our customers, while also keeping our costs low so we can offer better terms than other banks,”
said Tryggvi Björn Davíðsson, Co-founder of Indó.
