With more than 30 years of experience in AI and ML, CRIF provides proven, real-world models. “One of our strongest differentiators is that our AI capabilities aren’t theoretical: we have real, proven business cases with quantifiable ROI,” says Claudio. “Our deep roots in the decisioning domain allow us to deploy AI and ML models directly into credit, onboarding, and risk workflows, allowing customers to measure concrete impacts, such as improved acceptance rates, reduced losses, and enhanced fraud detection, rather than relying on experimental or standalone AI tools.”

CRIF in the Nordics and Baltics

One of CRIF’s most significant long-term success stories in the Nordics involves one of the largest Nordic banks, says Vladimir Pajkovski, CRIF’s Senior Advisor. Since 2010, CRIF has supported this institution across multiple business lines, channels, and countries throughout the Nordic region.

What began as a targeted initiative in credit decisioning evolved into a continuous co-development program, where CRIF contributes advanced decisioning engines, data intelligence, and digital workflows integrated into the bank’s lending processes. Over the years, the collaboration has expanded to include retail lending, mortgages, digital channels, and branch operations.

“This collaboration remains a benchmark example of how CRIF’s decisioning and data capabilities can support a major financial institution at scale, over time, and across multiple geographies,” says Vladimir.

Several other CRIF solutions have been adopted by Tier-1 and Tier-2 banks, leasing financial institutions, and major credit-servicing organizations in the region.

“We also play a pivotal role in the Baltics by leveraging our global footprint to support Baltic startups expand into the rest of Europe and beyond, offering them risk intelligence, data infrastructure, and compliant decisioning tools,” Vladimir tells NFM.

Looking forward

In the next 12 months, the company intends to scale its AI-driven analytics solution to bring higher accuracy to credit decisioning, fraud prevention, and customer profiling.

“We’re evolving our platform into a fully modular, end-to-end credit-management ecosystem that integrates digital onboarding, credit origination, portfolio management, cross- and up-selling intelligence, early-warning analytics, and collection workflows,” says Claudio. “We’re also enhancing SME-focused modules to accelerate access to financing and strengthen the overall financial ecosystem.”

CRIF is a long-established player in the fintech and banking sector and is trusted by major financial institutions with their data — a trust the company has earned over nearly 40 years.
